Run Strong Programming

Helping runners to feel strong in their runs and life!

We like to utilize a different approach than most programs out there. One that is backed by research and our own experience as a runner and coach. This involves higher intensities and lower volume so that we generate big out puts, but don’t layer on additional fatigue.

Sometimes there can be apprehension to this. That’s totally understandable. It’s not the the way things have traditionally been done. There is also often a fear of soreness interfering with running. While this may be true initially, after 2-3wks you will adjust and start to see and feel the benefits!

This apprehension is also a great reason to seek out a coach to help with this process and ensure you are enlisting the best exercises, rep ranges, intensities, and placement within your week. Ideally, we are striving to not have this interfere with your running as that should take precedence. If strength work is getting in the way, let us know and we’ll make adjustments. It’s that easy!

In addition to improving your strength, skill work gets layered in to improve your ability to run efficiently.

Programs are carried out in person with your coach via one on one sessions.

Strength training is one of the best compliments to running as it can help to improve performance on a number of different variables and decrease your risk for injury when programmed appropriately!
